In the Chair - Real Hair Real People - Coral

Sometimes it's just nice to have a change; a bit of fun. And the range of colours with easy application and little commitment mean you can dip in and dip out to suit your mood or the season.

1. The Haircut

Coral has always been blonde and liked to style her hair in a Princess Diana vein. This week we went for an edgier cut that she can virtually wash and leave, but also applied a pink toner.

2. The Colour

Instead of a primary bluey pink we chose a more coral pink which seemed most apt. This will last 6-12 washes as it slowly fades away or can be repeated easily in just ten minutes after the shampoo.

3. Condition

Always LifeSaver Prewash Treatment which protects the hairshaft from breaking down and let's Coral do more things with her hair without it thinning and breaking. This is the anti-ageing treatment for all hair types and Coral keeps this up at home. It also helps colour last much longer by keeping the hairshaft intact so the colour doesn't wash away so quickly.

4. Styling

We sprayed a little Thicker Quicker on the roots and Volumising Mousse to the mid lengths and ends. This maximised the natural body which we kept and enhanced by diffusing with fingers. We then spent less than a minute smoothing the front with a large round brush.

I'm thrilled with my new cut and colour and I know it's going to be so easy for me to keep up.“ - Coral

Preparation
We used the LifeSaver ULTRA Pre-wash Treatment and washed with Cashmere Protein UV Protective Shampoo and Conditioner.

Styling
We used the Volumising Mousse, Thicker Quicker Volumising Spray, Magic Oil and 10 Second Transformation Grooming Balm to style.

You can burn your bra. But here's an easier way to feel liberated. In the 1960s women were also freed from their weekly roller-sets under a hood dryer, by Sassoon’s short flat bobs. Those short bobs have now become long bobs and the hood dryer exchanged for...

The Great Bonding Hoax
The Great Bonding Hoax

March 26, 2024

Were people misled or did they helpfully misunderstand? About ten years ago a great whirlwind of marketing was created about a new bonding product. Something that could reconnect some of the bonds broken by bleaching. This seemed to gift a 'get out of jail free' card to colourists the world over to jet-hose peroxide with gay abandon. Hundreds of other copycat products followed...

Myths & Misunderstandings - Can I over-protein my hair?

March 23, 2024

Can I over-protein my hair? Did you think that too? It’s a myth whizzing around the internet and popping up in forums, so let me explain. Healthy hair is essentially 97% protein and 3% water. Hair cannot be overloaded with protein but it can become so dehydrated with
