One of my clientâs hair had suffered greatly through a period of hormonal changes, lockdown, COVID and neglect, losing almost half its volume. We spent a year recovering condition in salon and with disciplined home hair care - LifeSaver Pre-wash twice-weekly and cashmere protein shampoo and conditioner. The hair steadily improved and within a year was back to its glorious healthy state.Â
But itâs easy to be forgetful. The excitement of a week sailing blocked all memory of hair trauma and the hair was left unprotected to be savaged by seven days of sun, sea and wind. No hat, no LifeSaver UV. All good work undone and a further year of dedicated care needed. Ooops!
Â
The LifeSaver family of treatments are like insurance for hair. Pre-washes as a staple for all hair types, and LifeSaver UV Leave-in particularly for sun protection but also as a great styling product to eliminate frizz and give heat and styling protection. But failing proper protection, LifeSaver Treatments are the best solution for post holiday recovery. Hair trauma recovery takes more dedicated effort than protection and time for hair to refresh itself. But improvements start immediately and hair keeps getting better.Â

The Maldives is a long way to go to pick up a recipe, but wherever we are I'm always keen to discover what the locals are doing. The patisserie chef was kind enough to share this recipe that was part of the delicious breakfast offering.

When an industry gangs up on its customers to suit itself, it never ends well. Eventually the mis-selling and other scandals come to light, then the providers close ranks, obfuscate, and gaslight the customers into thinking they are in the wrong or they themselves are the problem.Â
