The Post-Summer Hair Reset

The Post-Summer Hair Reset

By September, hair often carries a visible hangover. Summer has been wonderful but your hair is telling a different story.

Sun, sea, chlorine and heat can take their toll on even the healthiest hair. If your hair feels less vibrant, harder to comb, breaks more easily when brushing or simply won’t hold its style as well as it did, these are all signs it could be time for some post-summer deep repair.

Repair Damaged Hair at Home

For the first three weeks, use a LifeSaver Pre-wash Treatment with every wash.

Designed to rebuild and strengthen damaged hair from within, LifeSaver helps improve elasticity and reduce breakage while restoring softness, shine and manageability. Try adding LifeSaver Deep Sleep as an overnight repair - it fits into your routine easily and smells divine.

Your scalp may need some attention too. Sun, heat, sweat and product build-up can leave it feeling dry, congested or out of balance.

Use our Exfoliating Scalp Treatment once a week followed by the Exfoliating Scalp Shampoo to gently remove build-up and dead skin cells, leaving the scalp feeling clean, refreshed and rebalanced.

If your hair colour has turned a little brassy in the sun, introduce the Silver Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner to help neutralise unwanted yellow tones and restore a cooler, brighter finish.

Most importantly, be gentle to your hair. Holiday-damaged hair can be much more vulnerable to breakage, so use the No.1 Brush to minimise unnecessary pulling and, where possible, give heated styling a break for the first few weeks.

Book in for a Post-Holiday Salon Reset

Start with a Diamond Dry Cut to remove tired, broken ends and restore shape, movement and body without sacrificing unnecessary length. Click here or the image below to view blog about the Diamond Dry Cut.

If your colour has lost its shine but you’re not yet due your next full colour appointment, try a Colour Conditioning Gloss Treatment. It smooths and seals the hair cuticle to reduce frizz, lock in moisture and restore a beautifully glossy, light- reflective finish without altering your existing colour.

For the ultimate scalp reset, book a Japanese Head Spa. Following a detailed scalp analysis, deep cleansing, exfoliation, massage and targeted treatments help remove build-up and rebalance the scalp, particularly welcome after weeks of sun, sweat, sea water and chlorine.

Think of this as your complete post-holiday recovery plan: repair the hair, rebalance the scalp and restore healthy-looking shine.
