I love long hair. But sometimes it’s better to cut it back and start again fresh. Especially when the ends have suffered serious over-processing of colour on multiple occasions. And it’s great to have a change too.
The last half of Francesca’s hair was difficult to comb and difficult to style. Over processed colour applied repeatedly to the same hair had left it frizzy, shrunken, thin, matt and broken. Nothing like the fresh thick supple hair higher up. We decided for a big chop to refresh the hair knowing we could protect it better as it grew down.
We wanted a blunter choppy look that could be left natural for a funkier look or styled for sophisticated glamour. The long layers would also give movement and lift. Using our signature Diamond Dry Cut™ method, I took a graduated outline and sculpted face-framing layers through to the back. We then moved onto colour
Rocky wanted to keep more variability in the colour and also retain natural tones. It wasn't necessary to tint 100% of the hair when the natural tones were good and gave contrast against the blonde. This process is much gentler on the hair.
A key product for Francescas hair is LifeSaver Pre-wash Treatment. This a not an oil-based treatment and you cannot overuse LifeSaver®. It feeds, hydrates and strengthens hair without weighing it down and gives vibrancy to all hair types.
Thicker Quicker is the go-to product to boost the roots and a little Volumising Mousse for the mid-lengths and ends is the perfect combo for maximising volume.
“I never believed my hair could look so healthy. It’s so much easier to manage and now I have a good hair day everyday“ - Francesca

Sometimes a more dramatic change is called for and Rosie was clearly in the mood for something different.
Some days she thought about a very short crop but I thought that was a look we could ease towards gradually. We could start today with a short transformation into a sassy, chic, shorter layered
